Calculate the area of a rectangle by multiplying its length by its width — for a room's square footage, a plot size, or how much material a flat surface needs. A square is just the case where the two sides are equal.
The result is in the square of whatever unit you enter: metres in gives square metres, feet in gives square feet. Keep both sides in the same unit, since the tool does not convert between them.
