Domain Age Checker — How Old Is a Domain?

Check how old a domain is from its registration date. See when a domain was first created and how many years it has been registered.

A domain's age is simply how long it's been registered, counted from the creation date in its registration record. This tool reads that date and does the arithmetic, giving you the age in years — handy when buying an aftermarket domain or sizing up how established a site is.

One caveat worth knowing: if a domain lapsed and was re-registered later, the record can show the newer date, so a dropped-and-recovered domain sometimes reads younger than its real history.

Frequently asked questions

Does a domain's age really help SEO?
On its own, barely. Search engines value the history and reputation built over time far more than the raw registration date. A ten-year-old domain with no useful content won't outrank a strong newer one.
Is an older domain always more trustworthy?
No. Age is a hint, not proof. Spammers deliberately register old expired domains to borrow their history, so weigh age alongside content quality and reputation.
Can I check any top-level domain's age?
Any domain whose registry publishes a creation date. Most common TLDs do; a few expose limited data, in which case the age may be unavailable.
